It’s a book about the famed Italian artist’s life and work (including the statue of David, left) and it’s been published in his native country, with copies being sent over to North America. But if you want to read it or buy it for your own enjoyment, be prepared to take out a bank loan.

A single edition costs an astounding $100,000.”

Geek Treats: Bath Edition

Love Bathlight Mini $14.99

Glowing led heart lights that float! Put these in my bath, and I’ll probably stay here for 4 more hours. Who knows if I will even come out. I got these freakin awesome lights to keep me company. I can go on pretend pirate ventures, using these as my pretend torch. Or better yet, I can use these out of the tub to stalk my boyfriend and see if the red lights scare him. Okay, maybe not.

Artists: Handcrafted Woodworks by Keith Burtis

I have to show you these amazing wine stoppers I just bought from an artist friend of mine, Keith Burtis of Magic Woodworks. He’s a woodworker (you could tell from the name of course) and does some amazing work, which you can see at his official website and on his Flickr. What I love about his work, is it’s functional art!

I have been running out of my wine stoppers since I received a few dozen fine wines from my friend Pam, at Hugo Family Cellars. I think I’ve mentioned before that I was designing images for their two wines coming out, but you must check out their website! They are really good at what they do and the LOVE wine, so I think their selection is going to be amazing and cannot wait to try them when they launch!

Today, Keith mentioned he was designing these beautiful wine stoppers, with a portion of the proceeds from sales to go towards Erie County SPCA. So, stop on over to his website and buy some as a gift or for yourself! They make perfect stocking stuffers!
