This is so beautiful. It makes my heart happy!
Shouldn’t you give kudos to Gustav Klimt in your descriptions about your paintings. He is who you are copying, no?
I love your work, the colors are so fun and flirty. And seeing as Klimt is one of my most favorite artists I can say with certainty that your work is a copy of his in no way, well except for the fact that you use paint and lines on a canvas, which would make every artist alive a copier, no? Thanks for the unique and uplifting pieces that you do.
well thankyou so much for your comment! It’s true that I am inspired by Klimt. I think it’s impossible for artists not to be influenced by one another, right?
I believe it was Picasso and another artist who were bouncing off each other, kind of copying eachother’s next work. Kind of like some sort of battle, but it was all in fun and games I believe. Now I have to look it up cause I’m curious. We were told that story in art school. I’m glad you enjoy the pieces and hope you stop by the blog again! Love to hear your input on my future pieces!
Yes he did, with Braque and Matisse.
And, I don’t believe you have borrowed from Klimt enough to have someone state you should footnote him ?! Ridiculous. Best of luck with your art, it has a beautiful, positive spirit.
aww thankyou! I love him, but I agree. Some people think so. Art is so subjective sometimes ;/ Thankyou for your comment!
Historically, artists were trained by “copying” the masters… therefore, worry not about any reference your work makes to Klimt or anyone else. Your work is spectacular! It evokes lightness and freedom of spirit that I seldom see in work. I would love to own your Tree of Life. It is uplifting!
I’ve always wondered what the Mother Of All looked like.
Peace and joy are well-displayed in this one. Great work!
love this would you mind if I used this as a tattoo , my son was born in the spring and me and my partner went through soo much whilst I was pregnant ..so he symbolizes a new start and a fresh life for us.. and I love trees as they are wise and also the symbol of new life…beautiful …I am a very colourful expressive person and really like this ..if you don’t wish for me to use it then thats fine ..tis pretty though..xxx
