SEATTLE MURAL PROJECT
My trip to Seattle was great! I was invited to come out there to do some mural work for the Dr. Egger orthodontics office. The place is so hip and fun. I can imagine the kids really like coming here! Seattle was warm and sunny the whole weekend, and though I spent most of my time working, I got to get out and check the sites.
I stayed at the luxurious Bellevue Club and Hotel. The cuisine in Seattle is the BEST and so healthy. I enjoyed their famous wines, fish, and fresh produce. You can eat like a king here! They have a big fitness room, spa, olympic pool, running track, and steam/sauna rooms.

Dr. Egger and her family were so generous and sweet. They took me to the famous Pike’s Place market area to check it out as well as some of the famous landmarks. I got to see the famous fish sellers (what is the name of it? I can’t remember) where they do a chant as they throw the fish to the register. Very cool. Then we headed over to the fruit markets and the flowers. Too bad it was so crowded from tourists. I there on the weekend, so it gets a bit crowded.
The next day after work was finished we went over to the fabulous Nordstrom and mall. I couldn’t leave without going to Sephora (I’m a makeup junkie) as well. Seattle was sunny and JUST the right temperature.
I’m so grateful to all the wonderful people I met while I was working there. The murals turned out amazing and I am really happy with how it all worked out. I took TONS of photos, and will be posting most of them to my FLICKR page.
Here is the first room. The tooth brushing/flossing room, I embellished along the modern mirrors. It was so cool when it was done. I really liked how this room looks now.

And in the waiting area/play area, I created a large mural to bring some life to the gaming area. I bet the kids are really going to enjoy this. The staff was really pleased with the work and excited to have me there. Here are the progress pics..

When I was a child going to the dentist was torture for me, but to see this bright and happy artwork would have definitely put me in a different mindset.
Wow. Ok, I feel bad. I had NO idea how incredibly popular you are!! Several years ago, I got some Mad Hatter prints and put them up in our guest room, only to move them to the nursery once we had a baby. THEN I painted a piece of pottery for my husband with one of your designs on it. Now, I see your work everywhere! Congrats (albeit a late one). I love, love your work. You inspired me.
That is oh so cool, Natasha!
I discovered your work online over a year ago. Since then, I have shared your work with my art students. You have truely inspired me as well as my students. And to find out you currently produce artwork and that you are from Michigan, like us! We love your work! Since then, I have recently purchased one of your paintings and can’t wait to hang it up on my newly painted wall. The dentist office looks great. Keep up the good work!
I love love love your work. You are so inspiring to me. I’am acutally fixing to purchase some of your prints for my art room!!
Thankyou so much everybody! I’m glad you love it!
